Why join this retreat?

This retreat is designed for anyone who wants to step out of the rush of daily life and reconnect with the natural rhythms of body, mind and nature. It offers a warm, spacious and nourishing setting in which Ayurveda and Yoga are not only explained, but also experienced in a practical and embodied way.

Through gentle practices, Ayurvedic teachings, breathwork, meditation, sound, self-care rituals, nourishing food and quiet time in nature, you will explore how the Five Great Elements and the Three Doshas live within you. The focus is on slowing down, listening more deeply, and discovering simple ways to support balance, vitality and inner clarity in daily life.

This retreat is especially valuable for those who long for a meaningful pause, a clearer sense of their own constitution, and practical tools for living more in tune with the seasons and their own needs. Whether you are new to Ayurveda or already familiar with it, you are warmly invited to come home to yourself in a beautiful setting, guided by an experienced team of Ayurvedic Practitioners and Yoga teachers.

Meet the teacher team

Coen van der Kroon, Daphne Brouwer, Kari du Plessis and Lindsay Roberts bring together a rich mix of experience in Ayurveda, Yoga, bodywork, teaching and retreat hospitality. Together, they create a warm and grounded space where you can slow down, reconnect with nature and experience Ayurveda in a practical and embodied way. Coen is an Ayurveda teacher, author and long-time practitioner who has studied with respected teachers in Europe, India and the United States, including two years at Dr. Vasant Lad’s Ayurvedic Institute in New Mexico. He recently authored Ayurveda & Yoga – Harmonie voor Lichaam, Geest en Leven and will guide participants through the Five Great Elements, the Three Doshas, daily rhythm, seasonal living and self-understanding. Daphne is the owner of Het Kolkhuis and founder of Kolkwater. She combines Ayurveda, yoga, nature, nourishing food and hospitality to create retreats where people feel safe, welcome and deeply at ease. As Ayurvedic Practitioner, host and creator of the retreat space, she brings warmth, care and a deep sense of place to the whole retreat experience. Kari is a Yoga teacher, Ayurvedic Practitioner and massage therapist. Her Yoga style is rooted in classical Yoga teachings, with an emphasis on alignment and the understanding that each asana can support the body. She guides participants into movement, breath and embodied awareness in a calm and attentive way. Lindsay is an Ayurvedic Practitioner and Yoga teacher. She loves Ayurveda because it helps people understand their own body, rhythms and needs without rigid rules or quick fixes. Her guidance brings together Ayurveda, Yoga, breath, rest and self-care in a gentle and practical way.

Together, Coen, Daphne, Kari and Lindsay offer a spacious and nourishing retreat experience with Ayurveda, Yoga, self-care, nature, food, rest and practical tools for daily life.

What to expect

Through Ayurveda and Yoga, we explore how the Five Great Elements — space, air, fire, water and earth — live within us and around us. From these elements arise the Three Doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. They help us understand our body, energy, digestion, moods, rhythms and needs with more clarity and kindness.

During the retreat, you will be guided through morning practices, Ayurvedic teachings, Yoga, breathwork, sound, meditation, self-care rituals, nourishing meals and quiet moments in nature. The programme is spacious and experiential. You will not only learn about Ayurveda; you will feel how it works in daily life.

You leave with practical tools: a simple morning routine, a clearer sense of your own constitution, easy self-care practices and a more grounded way to live with the seasons.

The retreat takes place at a beautiful private estate with a garden and lake. Fresh, mostly organic vegetarian meals are prepared with care by a private chef. Snacks, fruit, herbal drinks and tea are available throughout the day.
