Ayurveda & Cancer

(26th September & 3rd November 2026)

Integrative Ayurvedic Support from Diagnosis to Recovery

This Continuing Professional Development course is intended for qualified Ayurveda Practitioners and Ayurveda Therapists seeking to extend their clinical knowledge and practical competence in the field of integrative cancer support.

The programme offers a structured Ayurvedic framework for understanding how Ayurveda may support clients during different stages of the cancer care process. Drawing on classical Ayurvedic concepts and informed by contemporary clinical relevance, the course explores the supportive role of Ayurveda alongside conventional oncology care. In the classical Ayurvedic literature, clinical parallels may be found in conditions described as Arbuda, Granthi, Gandamala and Gulma, as referenced in the Sushruta Samhita and Ashtanga Hridaya.

Particular focus is given to breast cancer and prostate cancer, two of the most commonly diagnosed cancers worldwide. The training addresses three important phases of care: pre-operative and pre-treatment preparation, support during conventional treatment and immediate post-operative recovery, and long-term recovery with attention to vitality, resilience and recurrence prevention.
