Ayurveda offers the practical tools to personalise yoga practice and lifestyle for optimal physical, mental, and emotional balance. Integrating Ayurveda with Yoga Therapy helps you understand yourself and your students better, empowers you to adapt yoga practices according to constitution and imbalances, and enables you to create truly holistic classes. This 7-day online intensive is designed for yoga professionals and advanced practitioners ready to bridge the wisdom of Yoga and Ayurveda—bringing ancient healing into modern practice.

Founder of the Ayurveda Academy The Netherlands and an internationally recognised expert in Ayurveda, Coen brings decades of study with world-renowned teachers and deep experience in teaching, publishing, and clinical practice.
A Sivananda-trained yoga teacher and Ayurveda Practitioner with global experience, Liese is known for her compassionate teaching style and expertise in combining therapeutic yoga with ayurvedic nutrition and lifestyle.
During this interactive, practice-oriented week, you will gain a solid foundation in Ayurveda by exploring its core principles, including the five elements, the three doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), agni (digestive fire), the gunas, and the basics of ayurvedic nutrition and lifestyle. You’ll learn how to integrate Ayurveda into your yoga practice by adapting asana, pranayama, and yoga therapy techniques to different constitutions, seasons, and imbalances—making your classes or sessions more personalised and therapeutic. The program also deepens your understanding of the mind-body connection, guiding you through the subtle anatomy of Yoga and Ayurveda and examining the influence of sattva, rajas, and tamas, as well as the importance of mental and emotional wellbeing in yoga therapy.
The week offers a dynamic mix of live online classes, hands-on breakout sessions, case studies, and practical assignments, giving you daily opportunities to apply Ayurvedic principles directly to your teaching or personal practice. You will build valuable professional skills by developing “Ayurvedic yoga routines,” working with case studies, and gaining the confidence to provide basic ayurvedic advice for yoga clients or groups. Throughout the course, you’ll benefit from ongoing support and access to a user-friendly Learning Management System (LMS) filled with recorded masterclasses and comprehensive study materials to reinforce your learning.
Participants should be able to comfortably follow standard yoga classes. If unsure, feel free to contact us for guidance.
